Inspiration

I wanted something where I could learn things in bite-size pieces, instead of cramming through long notes or documents.

What it does

Recallie takes any notes, photos, or docs and turns them into short courses, flashcards, and quizzes. It keeps you motivated with streaks, levels, and progress tracking.

How we built it

We used expo react native, Supabase for storage and auth, and OpenAI to break down content into lessons and quizzes. Then added gamified streaks and XP to make learning fun.

Challenges we ran into

Keeping lessons structured, returning the generated courses in a clear format, making it feel playful instead of overwhelming and even finding the right mascot.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

How the design turned out and how the final product came together. I am proud it looks and feels like something people would actually want to use.

What we learned

Small things like streaks and XP really boost motivation, and less is more when it comes to designing a learning flow.

What's next for Recallie AI

Better analytics to track progress, and letting users ask AI anything about their notes and learning journey.
