What it does

RebuttalForge is a review-first PayPal dispute workspace for item-not-received cases. It gathers transaction and seller evidence, asks a configured AI model for a cited assessment, applies response-policy checks, and separates human approval from execution. Missing evidence can produce a hold rather than an unsupported draft.

How it is built

The application uses a TypeScript/Node.js backend and React interface, with direct PayPal REST adapters and NVIDIA or Anthropic model adapters. Genuine integration uses the PayPal sandbox, including Customer Disputes, Payments v2 and Orders v2. The client rejects PayPal’s live host. Revision-bound approval and a separate execution request keep assessment distinct from action. Unknown execution outcomes require manual reconciliation.

Demonstration and verification

The linked narrated video shows an explicitly labeled, disconnected scripted interface walkthrough. It is not a live PayPal or AI run. The functional local demo uses the actual application backend and frontend with an embedded PayPal-compatible simulator and scripted model responses; it requires no account credentials and makes no live PayPal or AI requests. It supports evidence review, reassessment, approval and simulated execution.

An earlier runtime completed a genuine PayPal-to-NVIDIA assessment that returned a missing-fulfillment-evidence hold, with no draft and no PayPal response. That result is not end-to-end live verification of this release. Previously completed checks on the matching application include 412 tests, 37 offline backend checks, 14 offline UI checks, typechecks/build and two simulated HTTP workflows. These are retained results, not a new live-provider test.

Challenges and boundaries

A central challenge is keeping cited evidence, policy validation, approval and execution aligned without treating a plausible model answer as sufficient proof. A citation identifies a source; it does not establish factual truth. Seller records and tracking linkage remain assertions, not proof of carrier delivery. Only item-not-received disputes are assessed; unsupported response types require direct PayPal review. Credential-backed operation requires authorized sandbox and model configuration and private operator authentication.
