Inspiration
At personal level, I think it would be great if through our mobile devices , we can get the idea about our surrounding and can avoid the places where there is large gathering of home quarantined persons. At security level, this app can be used by authorities to track the home quarantined/ infected persons and they can take the actions accordingly if they find someone violating the norms. Individuals too can advice home quarantined persons if they find someone in their vicinity.
What it does
The app registers the user and then through google map apis can locate them in real time on google map. Seperate version of the app can be provided to the authorities for monitoring. In next phase, individuals will be notified if they come in the vicinity of someone who is home quarantined/ infected.
How I built it
I am using Google Map Apis to build the application and plot the realtime data on google map. Realtime Firebase Database will be used to store real time locations of the individuals.
Challenges I ran into
getting background geolocation of Infected/ Quarantine people without letting them know, though there will be privacy issues or strict location sharing should be permitted by all users in the pandemic region, with this, this app can become a huge help to the concerned authorities for the monitoring purpose.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Can come up with solution which can be a good monitoring tool at individual level to tackle any pandemic/ outbreak situation in the world

First time Using Kotlin instead of Java
What's next for Realtime Quarantined/Infected People Tracking
Will be adding feature to report suspected movement of infected/ Quarantine people by individuals to concerned authorities and also will notify the users regarding their surroundings.
