Inspiration

Another crypto enthusiast friend of mine was looking to sell his condo in Calgary, AB. I offered to try and tokenizing it on ethereum blockchain and sell it as a digital asset

What it does

Realtano will allow real estate property owners to offer their properties as digital tokens on ethereum blockchain. The buyers each will hold a token that represents a share of the property. The buyers are free to exchange the tokens on a decentralized exchange

How I built it

Using solidity and truffle framwork

Challenges I ran into

Mainly revolved around securing the tokens, and the absence of effective ways of linking digital tokens to real world assets and the absence easily verifiable digital identities.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I'm proud that I moved the project quickly from concept to actual tokens on testnet

What I learned

We need a digital property registry, preferably exposed on the blockchain.
