Realove's mission is to help single adults communicate respectfully, make meaningful connections and build healthy relationships, online and offline. Shared Ground explores one practical first step: finding something people genuinely want to talk about. Building a family is a personal choice, never a promised outcome.
What I built
Realove Shared Ground is the Qloo-powered cultural planning flow inside the standalone Realove Connection Lab. Enter one to three public music, film or book references. The server searches Qloo for real entities, asks you to confirm the intended matches, and then retrieves related cultural recommendations. It presents those results with their source and short conversation prompts. People review every suggestion and choose whether to use it. Nothing is sent automatically.
This is a structured, human-in-the-loop tool for agent workflows. The current planner uses Qloo retrieval and deterministic product-written prompts, rather than a generative model. It does not infer anyone's identity, sensitive traits or romantic compatibility. It does not match private Realove profiles.
Why Qloo matters
The recommendations come from Qloo's cultural affinity data, rather than invented titles or generic LLM suggestions. Search and recommendation are separate operations, with explicit confirmation between them. Without a successful Qloo response, the demo returns an honest error and invents no live result. Qloo's aggregate cultural affinities are not evidence that two individuals will form a relationship.
How I built it
I built this original, isolated contest code on October 29 and 30, 2026, with AI-assisted development using ChatGPT and Codex. The public source includes a Node.js server with the official Qloo harness and a portable HTTPS REST adapter used by the hosted Cloudflare Worker. The interface uses JavaScript, HTML and CSS. Provider credentials stay server-side. Short-lived HMAC-signed confirmations bind selections to returned entity IDs. Requests reject redirects, unsupported entity types and obvious contact details. There is no production database, account or private-message connection.
What I learned and tested
Live API testing exposed response subtype differences that mock data did not reveal. Hosting also exposed an unsupported edge-runtime redirect mode. I fixed both and added regression coverage. All 42 tests pass. Live cloud checks successfully resolved The Beatles and retrieved five related films and three conversation prompts. These checks demonstrate functionality, not a measured improvement in relationship outcomes.
Try it
Open the live demo, enter The Beatles, click Find these interests, select the artist result, check the confirmation box and click Explore shared ground. No account or payment is required. Review the cultural recommendations and conversation prompts. The second, Nebius communication-practice tab is unconfigured and is not part of the completed Qloo demonstration.
Existing Realove and new contest work
I am Yevhen Donin, the solo full-time founder in Kyiv, Ukraine. Realove already exists at https://realove.io. It is unincorporated, pre-revenue and has no external funding. This separate Qloo prototype and its public source are new hackathon work. Venus V2, our planned AI superconnector and matchmaker, remains in development and is not presented as finished here.
Prize support would help sustain Realove, introduce it to more people through marketing and attract users. Incorporation abroad or relocation would be considered after funding. The original contest code is MIT licensed; the Realove name and approved logo retain their brand rights.
