  The hat to be worn

Inspiration

Giving visually impaired people the opportunity to experience their surroundings like never before

What it does

Essentially we attach a camera and sensor on to a hat, which when worn by the visually impaired person will allow them to recognize objects faster and sense obstructions at a certain distance away.

How we built it

This was built using python's openCV, numpy, speech_recognition, pyaudio, alsa mixer,espeak packages and arduino

Challenges we ran into

One of the major challenges was setting up openCV Setting up the dragon board with Debian Linux Setting up the speech to text recognition Setting up bluetooth from the command line
