Inspiration

Professional room staging is one of the most effective ways to market properties, but it’s expensive, slow, and out of reach for many agents and homeowners. Empty floor plans don’t help buyers visualize how a space will actually feel, and traditional staging requires time, logistics, and significant cost. We built RealEstateOS to remove these barriers. By using AI to instantly generate photorealistic staged interiors from simple floor plans, RealEstateOS makes high-quality staging fast, affordable, and accessible—transforming how properties are presented and experienced.

What it does

RealEstateOS transforms 2D floor plans into photorealistic 3D home overviews and generates fully staged interior renders for each room. Users can visualize empty spaces as realistic, market-ready interiors—room by room—within minutes. This helps agents, developers, and homeowners present properties in a more compelling and understandable way.

How we built it

We built RealEstateOS as a full-stack AI-powered web app using Google’s Gemini 3 for multimodal understanding and image generation. The system analyzes floor plans, generates a consistent 3D overview, and then produces aligned, staged room renders from that layout. The application is deployed on Google Cloud and developed using Antigravity IDE for rapid iteration, structured prompting, and tight AI integration.

Challenges we ran into

Maintaining geometric accuracy between the original floor plan, the 3D overview, and the staged room renders was challenging. We also had to control AI hallucinations and enforce layout consistency while still achieving high visual realism. Balancing determinism with visual quality required careful prompt engineering and generation constraints.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We achieved near pixel-consistent alignment between floor plans, 3D overviews, and room staging. The system produces high-end, photorealistic interior visuals that are suitable for real estate marketing, all from simple 2D inputs. The end-to-end workflow—from plan upload to staged visuals—is fully automated and user-friendly.

What we learned

We learned how to design multimodal AI workflows that balance strict geometric constraints with creative visual rendering. We also gained hands-on experience with production-grade AI deployment, prompt orchestration, and building reliable AI features on top of Gemini’s vision and image generation capabilities.

What's next for RealEstateOS

Next, we plan to expand RealEstateOS beyond a single-user tool into a scalable platform. Our roadmap includes an API for bulk processing so brokerages, MLS partners, and property managers can automate large volumes of floor plan conversions and room staging. We also aim to integrate simple social media and listing exports, allowing users to generate marketing-ready visuals and captions for platforms like Instagram, listing portals, and property websites directly from the app—reducing the friction between design, staging, and real-world property marketing.
