Inspiration
HomeRun was created to make real estate investments more accessible and affordable by introducing fractional ownership. We aimed to simplify the investment process and support affordable housing.
What it does
HomeRun enables users to invest in real estate through fractional ownership, making it easier to participate in crowdfunding and support affordable housing projects.
How we built it
We used React and JavaScript for the front end, Flask for the back end, and PostgreSQL with Supabase for database management, creating a scalable and efficient platform.
Challenges we ran into
Understanding real estate crowdfunding and managing the development process presented significant challenges. We had to learn and adapt extensively.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We successfully completed the development of HomeRun, overcoming technical and conceptual challenges to deliver a functional platform.
What we learned
The project enhanced our teamwork, error-handling skills, and problem-solving abilities, with valuable insights from ChatGPT.
What's next for HomeRun
We plan to explore blockchain technology to enhance security and protect transactions on our platform.
