Inspiration
Women may face problems such as harassment, domestic violence, cyber abuse, and work place issues. However, many women may not know their legal rights, where to look for help, or what steps to take. So, we were inspired to create a platform that can provide simple legal guidance to women while protecting their privacy. Our goal is to make legal information easier to understand and access.
What it does
Safe Privacy Aid for women is a privacy-focused legal aid platform designed to help women to understand their basic legal rights and find appropriate support.
So our platform provides:
- AI-based legal assistance.
- Different categories for legal issues.
- Legal information is simple and easy to understand.
- Legal form and document assistance.
- Emergency SOS support.
- Legal help and resource information.
- case and help tracking.
- Privacy-focused features.
Our special feature is discrete mode whenever the use feel unsafe they simply access the discrete mode by on and off which simply hides the app in the home screen and makes it look like a clone of another app.
How we built it
Basically, we designed and prototyped the platform using modern web technologies and AI concept.
FRONTEND: React/Next.js, Tailwind CSS.
BACKEND: Node.js/Fast API.
AI: LLM+RAG.
DATABASE/SERVICES: Firebase
We planned to integrate RAG with an LLM to retrieve accurate and relevant legal information and provide users with simple and understandable responses. We also focused on privacy by minimizing unnecessary data collection and protecting user information.
Challenges we ran into
Our main challenge was to make the legal information accurate, reliable, and easy to understand.
Some of the challenges we faced are:
- Simplifying complex legal information.
- Protect the sensitive user information.
- Reducing the possibility of incorrect AI-generated answers.
- Designing useful support for emergency situations.
- Creating a simple and user-friendly interface with simple UI.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that we identified a real-world problem and designed a practical technology-based solution for it.
We were also able to combine AI, RAG, web development, and privacy-focused design into a meaningful project. This project helped us turn our idea into a clear and workable prototype.
What we learned
Through this project, we learned that using AI is not only about providing answers, but also about using it responsibly and safely, and how it can be used for solving a real-world problem.

What's next for A Private AI powered legal aid platform for Women
Our next step is to expand the platform with multilingual support, verified lawyer connections , secure document assistance, improved AI accuracy, and a mobile application while maintaining strong privacy and security for the women seeking legal help.
