Inspiration We wanted to create an interactive way for fellow Computer Science, IT, AI, Cybersecurity, and Data Science to make their voices heard on relevant topics/issues regarding their academic experience within our university's department.
What it does It allows members of the student advisory board to upload polls and allow students to vote and view the results in real-time
How we built it We used a Raspberry pi to host our website, PostgreSQL for the database, HTML and CSS for the UI, and Javascript for the backend
Challenges we ran into Getting connected to the Raspberry pi
Accomplishments that we're proud of Getting connected to the Raspberry pi
What we learned Programming is hard at times but also so much fun
What's next for Real-Time Polling System For Student Issues We are going to use it at our next Town Hall event we are hosting at our university
