The recent Covid-19 pandemic motivated us to search for solutions for the loopholes in the health care system. Our software can monitor the realtime movements of the patient to check for any abnormalities and in case of any mishaps an alert message will be given to the care giver and families of the patient. This software was built using python language. Platforms such as Linuxone community cloud, opencv, jupyter notebook served as platform for implementation. Getting the appropriate dataset and integrating them with the code was one of the challenges we faced. We are proud that even though these problems were persistent we did not give up hope and we developed the software for motion detection and alert systems which made us move a step closer to accomplish our project.We learned the features of linuxone community cloud and opencv. We are also now capable enough to develop codes involving alarm and motion detection using python. We plan to implement the real time patient monitoring system using a web cam, we also plan to add feature such as emotions detection.
