Inspiration
Real estate has always been difficult for the average consumer to get into the industry. Due to this, we wanted to make an application that would help create a site to help sell and organize real estate as well as create functions for both realtors and renters.
What it does
The application's main idea was to have a database of these contracts and then display the information from them. Then have a payment option with some form of crypto. However, in its current build, it's only a basic website and a smart contract. There isn't a merger between the backend and the frontend.
How we built it
We built the front end using HTML/CSS and javascript for the animations. For the backend, we used rust and the Terra API for us to construct it.
Challenges we ran into
As previously stated we had difficulty merging the frontend and the backend with javascript and unfortunately we couldn't do that. This was due to us not being able to figure out how to organize it. There were a plethora of different errors that came with the rust language due to either set up or syntax errors.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're happy to have a functioning front end and a good backend. Finally, we're proud of having a good rust backend and smart contract.
What we learned
We learned about HTML and CSS frontend coding as well as backend rust and smart contracts. We also learned a lot more about Terra.json but couldn't implement it.
What's next for Real Estate Smart Contract Selling and renting
We plan on learning about how to merge both backend and front end and fully implement it onto the blockchain. Finally we will consult real estate agents about rectifying and creating better and more in-depth contracts for them to be up to the industry standard.
