Inspiration
We are curious and distrustful in our nature, so we wanted to check if the climate change exists in reality and how big the problem actually is.
What it does
The project finds the difference between 10-years average and the-rest-time average for each state and visualizes the findings in a natural and representative way using a map chart.
How we built it
● Programming Language: Python ● Used libraries: pandas, geopandas, fiona, fiona.crs, requests, pandas, json, numpy, trollius, folium, branca
Challenges we ran into
Efficient team work and communication being in different locaitons were challenging. Additionally, displaying a map installing all required libraries was a complicated process.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
First of all, we did a submition! Secondly, great visualization (nor just boring bar charts...)
What we learned
We learned how to work as a team, learned several new technologies and libraries.
What's next for REAL CLIMATE CHANGE
We want to extend the project with further statistical analysis and add the prediction of the global climate changes around the whole world.
