🧾 Project Story: ReadMe Hero
ReadMe Hero was born out of a simple goal: make README creation feel like character creation in a retro video game. It would be a fun, pixel-themed tool where developers can build their own GitHub identity complete with themes, badges, banners, and personality. without writing a line of markdown themselves.
Users walk through a playful, step-by-step form that asks for:
- Name, bio, and links
- Skills (displayed as pixel-styled badges)
- Featured projects
- Optional “extras” like goals, fun facts, or quotes
They then choose a visual theme from Pink Clouds to Clockwork Ember. Their README is previewed in real time and can be copied or downloaded when ready.
Built with React, Tailwind CSS, and markdown-it, the app is completely frontend-powered. Themes are modular, and the design system embraces pixel art, retro fonts, and playful animations.
ReadMe Hero makes showcasing your developer story creative, accessible, and joyful. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned engineer, it helps you turn a blank README into something that feels uniquely yours.
