Read Text From Images To Help The Visually Impaired

Inspiration

I was inspired by the people at my school who were partially blind and couldn't read or see well.

What it does

This program transforms unclear and scribbled texts into clear and easy-to-read paragraphs.

How we built it

I build it using multiple Python libraries and machine learning.

Challenges we ran into

Some challenges I ran into were that the code stopped running when we displayed the image so the user would need to manually close the image and that sometimes the Python libraries mistook shapes for words,

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I was proud that I was able to fix all the problems in the code an make it work.

What we learned

I learned a lot about the many different python libraries and image manipulation.

What's next for Read Text From Images To Help The Visually Impaired

Add on to the program so it reads the text out loud so even the blind can understand it,
