We built a responsive retail unit that responds to a shopper's presence and logs important marketing metrics such as eye and attention tracking, distance from the unit, and how long your interact directly with the product. This data is applied real-time to an RGB LED that will inform salespeople about how shoppers are interacting with the product in front of them.
Our first iteration, built this weekend, features an Arduino and associated sensors, a webcam to track face & eyes, and a Mac monitoring data from the whole array.
