Inspiration

This project is to fulfill MLH LHD Build "Hello, World in a New Language" daily challenge. I've done limited app development (I've technically used React Native but it was either a long time ago or I wasn't the one who build the app from scratch), and I plan on creating an app in the future.

What it does

Print "Hello World!"

How I built it

I installed Expo and import React Native for this project. Then I used the bare-minimum template.

Challenges I ran into

Running it on Expo had a few minor obstacles, such as needing to update Expo on my phone and figuring out how to start and build it from terminal.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Successfully running the app on my phone's emulator and on the web browser.

What I learned

The process of initiating an app using Expo.

What's next for React Native Hello World

Possibly using this as the template for another MLH challenge.
