Inspiration

I wanted to build something that could be simple and could be enjoyed by anyone. The purpose of this game was to not only serve as a form of pleasant distraction entertainment, but also stimulate players to become attuned to their senses through visual and auditory cues. With this environment, players would be able to experience clicker games in a new perspective.

What it does

The mobile application tests the reaction of players through continuous gameplay involving rectangles of different flashing colors. Every time a rectangle flashes yellow, the player scores a point. However, when a player clicks on a blue rectangle (or is delayed in clicking on a flashing rectangle), a point is deducted from the player's score. As the score reaches certain thresholds, the number of rectangles increases. At any given time, there will be only a single flashing rectangle to click.

How we built it

The application was built using a React Native framework with components made using Java elements. Dynamic rendering of the game's moving parts and assets relied on Java as its foundation.
