We were inspired after the Air BnB or Uber app and put a spin on both but for sports.
What it does
It allows individuals to post sports games if they are looking for players, meet new people, and have a great time during the summer playing sports.
How I built it
first, we started brainstorming the layout of what the pages were going to look like on a whiteboard, and then we took it to Figma and started designing the UI and the mock-up of the app, and lastly, we started coding it in android studio.
Challenges I ran into
We ran into some challenges because we were all new to Figma and also to android studio so it was a bit of a challenge learning either one or the other and implementing it in less than 24 hours.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
We learned how to use Figma and android studio and implement both in 24 hours.
What I learned
we learned a lot about how to properly execute a hackathon project and how the flow should be all the way from brainstorming the idea of building it and submitting it. Additionally, we learned how to use Kotlin and Figma.
What's next for Reach
what's next for Reach is we would work on using proper implementation using Kotlin in android studio and we plan on continuing to work on Reach even after the hackathon is over.
