Browsing real estate site like Zillow and Redfin can be daunting and overwhelming. How do you evaluate all the listings you have seen and compare them? There aren't enough tools to help prospective buyers organize their search. Unless you really write down what you're looking for and organize them clearly, you might be looking listings that seem all over the place and doesn't feel right.

What it does

RE-Agent is an AI-powered co-pilot that streamlines real estate search and analysis for prospective buyers. The platform helps users organize their preferences, provides data-backed insights on shortlisted properties, and offers intelligent comparisons to support informed decision-making in the home buying process.

How we built it

We developed RE-Agent primarily using Bolt and Cursor, focusing on creating a user-friendly interface and implementing AI-driven analysis features for property evaluation and comparison.

Challenges we ran into

The biggest challenge was accessing real estate listing data. Direct scraping of platforms like Zillow is prohibited, requiring us to build the application using placeholder data while pursuing partnerships with approved data providers. This limitation meant developing the core functionality without live data integration, which constrained our ability to demonstrate the full potential of our AI analysis features.

Building something that works and secure takes time, but as long as you believe in your vision, keep going.

The main objective is to build out the basic listing browsing functionality in order become an approved publisher.

Our immediate priority is developing the basic listing browsing functionality and establishing partnerships with approved real estate data providers. Once we secure proper data access, we’ll enhance our AI analysis capabilities and work toward becoming a certified real estate technology platform.
