What was the Inspiration for Re-MIND?

RE-MIND was first conceptualized out of an experience of co-founder Nana YaaSerwaah Akuoku, of assisting her loved one with cognitive fitness training and neurological repair. After sharing the idea with her team; Kere Dnhoj and Corbin McClean, The realization was made that the scope of opportunity to help Re-MIND users was much broader, which inspired the teams focus on ADHD and associated cognitive dysfunction.

What does Re-MIND Do?

Re-MIND is an XR cognitive fitness and life operations companion. Re-MIND offers gentle unintrusive nudges to remind users of pre-scheduled tasks that tend to cognitive well being and quality of life (i.e, Remembering to read a book that you are interested in, taking your vitamins, drinking more water, remembering your 4:15 appointment for guitar lessons with Sandra.

How Did We build Re-MIND?

Re-MIND was built using Lens studio for Snapchat Spectacles using Depth Cache sample as our foundation.

What Challenges Did We run into while building Re-MIND?

The Primary challenge that our team faced was traversing the learning curve associated with approaching a new development platform to accurately build the features that were important to us.

What Accomplishments that our team is proud of in building Re-MIND?

We are proud to have found a need in the world that intersects with our shared passions, skills and ambitions in technology. Also, Forming our team significantly later in the hackathon; We are Proud to have come together as a cohesive team in a more constrained time frame than initially anticipated.

What We Learned from Building Re-MIND?

We learned about the importance of surveying our target market during the iteration period as well os maintaining communication when working amongst a team of diversely skilled creative minds.

What's next for Re-MIND?

We Love the solution that Re-MIND offers to a problem that impacts Millions people! We believe in the potential of the application of this technology to help more people overcome the challenges with ADHD and other cognitive dysfunction experiences that often stifle the potential of the talented, capable people who live with the effects. We plan to continue to refine and develop this idea and hope to continue to submit future iterations of it to other opportunities. .
