Inspiration

We want to make an application that can benefit people during their stay-at-home lives while the pandemic is going on. As students and adults, we need to remember paying our credit cards on time, but what about our subscription services? Do we pay for services that we don't even use? To make sure people remember about these services and stop paying for them if they are not needed, we chose to make this application.

What it does

Our program saves user input about subscription services that they use, such as the name of the subscription, pricing, and renewal period. We order this information on a list so that the user can see which services they are paying for and important information for these services (next billing day, price of renewal, etc). The user can also click one of their services to access or edit the user's total information for that service, such as their total amount spent for that service or total time spent on that service.

How we built it

We built our application using AndroidStudio and Kotlin, in order to create a mobile application for our users.

Challenges we ran into

As new users of AndroidStudio and Kotlin, we ran into a lot of issues when we were initially setting up AndroidStudio and our GitHub repo, learning the Kotlin language, and debugging our problems.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of our UI/UX and the progress that we have made with minimal experience in app development.

What we learned

We learned how to manage UI/UX for android development and program in Kotlin, especially to move information between activities.

What's next for Re:member

We plan to add more features as well as refine the ones we have right now. We also intend to make our UI/UX even better and apply the same standard to our other user interfaces.
