Inspiration We are expecting a surge of smart vehicles in Singapore in the near future
What it does Use computer vision to identify traffic flow and use an optimization algorithm to streamline traffic flow.
How we built it We used yolov5 to recognise vehicles on roads and keep counts and change traffic light timing to reduce congestion.
Challenges we ran into Implementing yolov5 in different road scenarios and angles and coming up with the optimization algorithm.
Accomplishments that we're proud of Our computer vision recognization method is able to count vehicles and pedestrians in all situations.
