Inspiration
People are busy! Unfortunately, being chronically busy oftentimes leads to the neglect of our relationships with the important people in our life. We've created a solution to this problem: Re-connect!
What it does
Re-connect! allows users to add their contacts to the program. After doing so, they can select of frequently they want to call their individual contacts. If they don't call frequently enough, Re-connect! will send them an email reminding them to call their contact. After doing so, they can click the link provided in the email to reset the reminder period.
How we built it
Re-connect! was built using Python with Flask. The database was built locally on dockercompose.yml using mySQL.
Challenges we ran into
Our biggest challenges were adding data to the database and connecting contacts and users with a primary key.
What we learned
We learned a lot about Flask, which we were previously unfamiliar with. We also learned that email bots are less complicated than they seem!
What's next for Re-connect!?
