RC4IST

Inspiration

You may have kept some pets before. They're so fun and interactive, you can feed them, care for them, play with them, and they provide emotional value.

We're extending this to plants. Our RC4IST plants are enabled by their own moisture, temperature, humidity, gas readings and intelligent algorithms to express their mood in an interesting way.

What it does

Measures data from the plants, using some sensor fusion to evaluate the plant mood.

How we built it

ESP-IDF platform, VSCode, OpenAI API platform

Challenges we ran into

Hardware integration was tight. Same goes for all hardware projects. Everything should work on paper, but nothing does. Even displaying a simple .png and playing a .mp3 is hard on low-level hardware.

But that's the beauty of this challenge.

5% Programming, 95% Debugging. 100% Fun for us :)
