Inspiration

Our inspiration came from our team's different education experiences and passion for improving CS education experience for students. America is an education major who brought the idea of creating something like RateMy Professor specifically to give class feedback every day that will count as attendance. Motivating students to give honest anonymous feedback.

What it does

Survey will take students' responses about their lecture experience. Providing professors anonymous student feedback, track trending themes, and attendance.

How we built it

Website was built using ReactJS. Prototypes via Figma

Challenges we ran into

The first 12 hours were us trying to figure out how to use react. Once we figured that out we spent at least 2 hours trying to figure out how to link all the pages. Through mentor support, we were able to figure it out!

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud to make this project come to life as it was an idea we had thought of for a while now. We are proud to create a React website from scratch for the first time.

What we learned

We learned the basics of building a multi-page website with react. It was America’s first time doing web development and it was Salvador’s and Jose’s first time starting a React project from scratch.

What's next for RateMyLecture

Focus on mobile web design to make the website accommodating for mobile users. The end goal would be for our website to have a mobile app.
