Rate_Ride

Inspiration

The inspiration from this project came from our group looking to attack multiple tracks and a group memeber of ours looking at new cars and calling around for quotes and being shocked at how much insurance is for young adults.

What it does

Our app gives the user a SafetyScore using the sensor data on the users phone. With that score they can send that along with their driving logs to their insurance companies and request a better quote.

How we built it

We developed ride rater using Flutter and integrated sensor data for its functionality.

Challenges we ran into

The cloud credit we revieced required verification so we weren't able to host without using personal funds. No one on our team has used flutter, or firebase before. One person on our team had an android for testing but they had to leave so we could only test on emulators.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We FINISHED!!!! I'm so excited to say that we're walking away from this with working product it took so much dedication from everyone on the team.

What we learned

Maybe don't use a new frontend and a new backend simuetaltuouly when starting a project with a time crunch. Emphasis the fundamentals we had diffrent group memebers on diffreent skill levels and at times we didn't know what to do.
