Inspiration
We are inspired by the chaotic yearly course selection. Students frantically go around asking whether their next year teachers are good or bad. We want to help by creating a program that will give users their teacher's ratings.
What it does
The program allows the user to input a teacher's name followed by several ratings that they can give. The ratings are stored and is displayed when a teacher's name is searched for.
How we built it
We built it using Replit with java.
Challenges we ran into
Challenges include thinking of an idea, creating a plan (how it will work, what to use, and how it will look), and debugging the code.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're extremely proud of creating an efficient program with no errors in the java code. Also, we did very well with communication and understanding each other's ideas.
What we learned
We learned that it is important to have fun while working on the project. It is also important to use a java software that everyone is familiar with.
What's next for Rate Your Teacher!
We hope to transition our program into a full website that allows users a feasible way to find their teacher's ratings based on what other students rated them. We wish to make the website include all schools and all the teachers so that everyone can use it.
