Inspiration
Rate My Professor.com is mainly popular among students. But why is there no Rate My TA.com? So we made one!
What it does
Users can select courses that already exist in our database or register one. Then they can choose the TA they want to review and rate them based on a 1 to 5 scale of Kindness, Punctuality, Passion, Humor, Knowledge, Piazza, and Office Hour contribution.
How we built it
We used Java for the back-end.

It was the first Hackathon for all of us and the first group work. It was challenging for all of members to be on the same page. No one in our group had front-end experience. So..
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are very proud that although our lack of front knowledge, we were still able to create some some sort of reactivity. We are also proud of our creativity and idea.
What we learned
Working in a team is tough, but once you figure it out its rewarding. Additionally, turning your idea from fiction into reality is a lot more difficult than on first thought.
What's next for Rate my TA
We need to make a pretty front-end that will make the user experience better. Our TA Rater could be used by students, TA's and Professors for a better educational experience. Students could consult the rater to select a TA to visit, TA's can improve from rating criticism and Professors can use the information to analyze how their TA's are doing.
