Inspiration

Freshman year, i was doing a research topic about ethonal based energy, and how the US can help develop that. I was reading an article at home, about artifical Intelligence in medicine. I then thought of the idea of "how can we integrate AI into symtom diagnoisising while being super accurate". then turned into a passion project, and now wanting to make it the worlds best.

What it does

Rapidhealthai is an AI diagnoising tool that uses a gemini pro API that has been trained specifically on diagnoising patients, the user first puts in the symptoms, age, gender, and pictures or videos of physical pain (if needed) along with past medical records, like asthma, cancer, heartattack. it then processes that using the machine learning, and fact checks it with credible sources, including NIH, Mayo clinic. Then it outputs a diagnosis report, that includes the potenial condition and triage, along with steps on what to do at hospital, and home healing for easy conditions, and all the credible sources it used along with a chatbot at the end for further question from the user.

How we built it

I first built it using just normal javascript and html in github, including a medical database, that it can ouput the condition depending on the description. I then switched to ai studio and google cloud, which allowed me to intergate an API along with machine learn the API specifically on medical diagnosis.

Challenges we ran into

language barrier, I only added english. Also, HIPPA compliance, at the beginning i never knew about that, but later fixed that and ensured all data protection and encryption.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Successfully added 7 different languages, along with a instagram page that generated over 4000 views, and over 150 new visits from that. hosted it on the web for more than 4 months now, along with unique domain name

What we learned

I learned that basic AI will not be a good concept, but if an AI that trains on credible medical data, it will continue to grow and to advance its reasoning, along with increasing user friendly UI/UX to make it more credible and eye catching.

What's next for RapidHealthAI

Further train it on more medical data that is publically available, and to create a team that will update software every day, along with adding much more options, and languages.
