Inspiration
Power outages last 12x longer during major events like natural disasters. We can't predict the future, but we can create solutions that increase speed, therefore effectiveness in critical emergencies.
The goal was to make one app able to hire numerous specialty contractors for emergency work.
What it does
Rapid Request provides utility companies and their contractors a secure, easy way to search for, book and manage emergency inspections, repairs and maintenance.
Rapid Request provides a simple user interface, capable of requesting and routing hundreds of employees across many contractors, in one single form.
How I built it
Crunch-time! 10% on Choosing 70% on Planning 20% on Execution 10% on Marketing/Message
Challenges I ran into
-Planning/Shooting a video and of course a few API errors along the way.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Building it was a challenge and fun... And of course relief/joy when 100+ employee slots routed available staff based on classification.
What I learned
Some new things on Twilio API and Quick Base Pipelines... (Side-note* avoid filming next to a dragstrip.)
