Inspiration
i always liked the concept of multiplayer games so thought about making one myself and with help of amazon services it become a lot easier.
What it does
there is board of grass and players are inside it and there is patterned paths using the L-System Fractals they have to move through it find other and shoot the last player to survive wins
How we built it
we built it with help of amazon services especially amazon q developer it was very handy when it comes to error solving and logic suggestions q developer was our best choice. we used iam role to setup a user and auth for login system.we used amazon lambda and api for our log in sign up and join game . we used dynamodb for our game code storage and s3 for storing files and also amplify for hosting.
Challenges we ran into
the integration with amazon was really a challenging task as i was using it for the first time, but somehow i could learn a lot with short period of time. well though this is my first game development project and also my first project using amazon services.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
developing a game was my dream come true. also i was not aware amazon had so many service that could reduce my work a lot and with amplify cli it almost worked in no time even though i had no idea about it there where enough docs explaining how to use. i would love to do more projects with amazon services
What we learned
we learned to tackle the errors and also got to know a lot of aws services
What's next for ranger
next we intend to make the game 3d and and add sprites for player more intractive ui to give a better experience as of now its only a basic ui. we concentrated more on the logic part.
