Inspiration

Our team wanted to create a useless invention, based on a product that we are familiar with. There was nothing more familiar then an alarm clock, which we use everyday.

What it does

The random alarm clock is set to a random time to ring when you activate the alarm. This makes it completely useless, as it is set to a random time to ring. So, you can't depend on it for you to wake up.

How we built it

We used a simple alarm clock code, and modified it to use a random function for setting the time to ring at.

Challenges we ran into

We had a hard time doing everything within the given time frame, since hardware stores close early and open late on weekends.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that we learned how to use Arduino and create a project, as we has no experience using Arduino 2 days before.

What's next for RandomAlarm

We need to make it more useless, so we can make it more random, by adding another random element. This random element could be that it only rings sometimes when it reaches its desired time. This will make it more useless, and bring it closer to achieving its purpose.
