Inspiration
The theme for RoseHack was retro diner, so we decided on creating something related to food (finding a restaurant).
What it does
Randomly chooses from preset restaurants to pan Google Maps to so you don't have to worry about choosing where to eat.
How we built it
We made this using Flutter and Dart. We also used various packages to implement the Google Maps API.
Challenges we ran into
Learning how to use Flutter and Dart. We also ran into trouble with getting the app to start in the first place.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were able to get our app to start and display Google Maps.
What we learned
The basics of Flutter and Dart. We also learned that making a mobile app without any prior experience making an app or designing was extremely difficult.
What's next for Random Restaurant Search App
Hopefully, we would like to accomplish our original goal of inputting an address and searching nearby restaurants by tag and distance radius,
