What it does
It uses a quote API to display 1643 different quotes by different authors.
How it was built
It was built with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and the fetch API (https://type.fit/api/quotes) in VS Code.
Challenges I ran into
I had to install Node.JS. But every time I tried to install it, the installation failed. So, I tried three different ways to install it. I managed to install it in the end. But it took a couple of hours. Also, this was the first time that one of my API projects works as it should. That's why I am really proud of creating this quote generator app.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
The project works as it sould. 😊
What I learned
I learned how to install Node.JS and how to use a fetch API in a project. Furthermore, I learned a little bit more JavaScript.
What's next for Random quote generator
Right now Random quote generator has a really long commentpart in its JS file with a lot of variations of using a fetch API which didn't work for me. So, it would be a great idea to find out why these didn't work and how you could improve these codes.
