Inspiration : When watching videos of hajj and uhmra we noticed how difficult it is for normal people to finish all the manasik without feeling exhausted and out of breath. So, we couldn't not think about people with physical disabilities who have to go through this at a much higher level of exhaustion.
What it does : Provide a website for the disabled to book a service provider to help them around during their spirtual Hajj experience.
How we built it : We built it using ASP.net , C# and SQL to collect the database of the disabled clients
Challenges we ran into: We do not personally know anyone who has these kind of physical disabilities.
Accomplishments that we're proud of: We are proud that we are using our programming skills in a project that helps people in our muslim society who are not able to fulfill their ultimate dream of Hajj , by lending a helping hand to people who are not given adequate help during the season. We strongly believe that our purpose as programmers is to contribute to the well being of the community.
What we learned:We learned to come up with an idea, plan its procedure, and implement it in a very minimal time.
What's next for RanaMarwa: We want to target a broader spectrum of disabilities as our websites grows.
