RamBot

Inspiration

We spoke Octo Consulting and their challenge piqued our interesting.

What it does

We scraped all the in questions and corresponding answers on the VCU admission page and based on the question, we used Amazon Lex and Lambda functions to output the appropriate response

How we built it

Challenges we ran into

The communication between lambda and Lex was an issue that plagued us. We had trouble getting the Lex to receive the right invocation that would be trigger the lambda function

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to scrape the page and store the appropriate information We were able to create a bot that when posed with a question presented in many ways, is able to distinguish the right keywords and match it to the right intents.

What's next for RamBot

We didn't have enough time to get the conversation aspect to become vocalize, through Alexa. The next time that will something that we need to make work.
