Inspiration

I am participating in ramadan and I found it hard to find a website that has everything I need for the month. So I decided to build this website to help Muslims and Non-Muslims navigate the holy month of Ramadan.

What it does

This website provides users with helpful features to enrich their spiritual journey, manage their fasting, and stay motivated through the month.

How we built it

I used Next.js to build the website and Google Gemini API to power the AI features.

Challenges we ran into

I ran into some challenges with the AI features, but I was able to fix them with some research and testing. I ensured the AI was only initialized at runtime (when a user actually clicks the button to generate a meal plan or reflection), completely bypassing the build-time crash.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud of the fact that I was able to build a website that can help Muslims and Non-Muslims navigate the holy month of Ramadan.

What we learned

I learned a lot about ramadan itself and using AI to power the website. I also learned how to use the Google Gemini API and how to deploy a website using Vercel.

What's next for RamadanAI

I plan to add more features to the website, such as a prayer tracker, a prayer guide, and a prayer timer.
