Inspiration
Recently, there has been a lot of political and social activism around the United States, but most rallies and protests have been scattered throughout various social media platforms. We wanted to build a universal platform for people to find or organize rallies/protests.
What it does
Prompts users to either create an account or log in. Logged-in users are taken to an events page where you can either create an event or rsvp to existing events. Created events are stored in a Firebase database.
How we built it
We used HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Firebase.
Challenges we ran into
Not knowing how to use Firebase and Github, learning new CSS and HTML techniques
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Getting Firebase to work with the login and the event creation parts of the website.
What we learned
How to make Firebase work in a webapp, JavaScript Syntax
What's next for Rally
Make the website display new events entered into Firebase.
