During our time as NSS volunteers, we had the opportunity to collaborate with the [Rotary Club], an organization deeply involved in supporting children with Thalassemia through awareness programs and consistent blood donation initiatives.

We actively coordinated blood donation drives at railway stations and public locations—not for emergencies, but as part of ongoing efforts to support patients who depend on regular transfusions.

At the time, we did what we could within the scope of volunteering. But when we came across the “AI for Good” Hackathon and saw the challenge around improving blood donation systems for Thalassemia patients, it immediately struck a chord.

This wasn’t just another project idea; it was personal, familiar, and felt urgent.
