Inspiration

Educational institutions and study centers often struggle with fragmented administrative processes. Student registrations, scholarship exams, hostel management, mess operations, library records, and fee collection are frequently managed through paperwork and spreadsheets, leading to inefficiencies, data duplication, and operational delays.

We wanted to create a centralized digital solution that simplifies these workflows and enables institutions to manage their operations efficiently from a single platform.

What it does

Raisina Study Centre ERP is a comprehensive ERP platform designed specifically for study centers and educational institutions.

The platform manages:

• Scholarship and entrance exam registration
• Student admissions and records
• Hostel room allocation and management
• Mess enrollment and tracking
• Library issue and return operations
• Fee collection and receipt generation
• Accounts and financial management
• Role-based administration
• Analytics and reporting

The system provides separate dashboards for Super Admin and Center Admin, ensuring secure and organized management of institutional operations.

How we built it

We built Raisina Study Centre ERP using the MERN Stack:

• React.js for the frontend
• Node.js and Express.js for backend services
• MongoDB for database management
• JWT Authentication for security
• REST APIs for communication
• Vercel for deployment

The platform consists of 13+ API modules and 14 database models supporting various institutional workflows. We implemented role-based access control, PDF receipt generation, Excel exports, analytics dashboards, and scalable backend architecture.

Challenges we ran into

• Designing a scalable database structure for multiple modules.
• Implementing secure authentication and authorization for different admin roles.
• Managing interconnected data between students, exams, hostel, library, and finance modules.
• Maintaining data consistency across the platform.
• Building a responsive and intuitive user experience.
• Ensuring scalability for future multi-center support.
