Aside from coffee, grunge, and tech businesses, one of Seattle's most well-known features is how frequent it rains. Every film or television show set in the Emerald City appears to have the requisite rainy day cliche, and there's always someone with an umbrella rushing through the drizzly streets. Yes, the stereotype has some truth to it, but I don't believe it to the amount that we've been given to think. Sure, Seattle has rain, but it also has plenty of beautiful, bright days that make Mount Rainier stand out on the horizon. I'd want to look at the rain records to get a better picture of how rainy Seattle truly is. I work alone!
