InspirationWater scarcity is becoming a serious problem in many residential areas due to rapid urbanization, population growth, and irregular rainfall patterns. Even though a large amount of rainwater falls on rooftops every year, most of it is wasted as surface runoff. As a civil engineering student, understanding sustainable water management practices is very important. This project is inspired by the need to conserve water, reduce dependency on municipal water supply, and promote eco-friendly building practices. Rainwater harvesting is a simple, cost-effective, and practical solution that can be easily implemented in residential buildings. This project aims to create awareness about rainwater harvesting and demonstrate how a basic system can be designed and used efficiently in a typical residential house.
