Inspiration: Nathan For You, one of the best shows ever, featured failed projects, one of which is a service in which they record a pet before its passing, then do a voiceover for the pet to tell the child the pet had passed. This is one of the most liked bits of the show. One can find a clip of it here: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/qUPIHMNA7gI

What it does: Instead of having to record the pet before its passing, which is unlikely for 99.99%, this app uses AI to take a picture or a video and create a goodbye message from the pet

How we built it: Created with Google AI studio. It was a straightforward process, as straightforward as any coding project. There is a premium option for video generation through Veo.

Challenges we ran into: Video creation required a paid API which I never knew. This required me to create a server to ensure a user has a set limit of video generation per day. A fully deployed app would require a payment system to meet users' demands but for now I'm making it free.

Accomplishments that we're proud of: For the first time I'm able to turn a joke from a TV show into an app

What we learned: Video generation costs money

What's next for Rainbow Bridge: This could be a wonderful upsell service for an animal hospital
