Inspiration
In these unpredictable times, we are unable to connect with those we love and have fun with. We created this project to keep in touch with our peers via videogames.
What it does
Our project is a online web based platform that includes three retro multiplayer games. People can play any of the 3 games at random with their friends online.
How we built it
We build this website using HTML as the backbone, JavaScript for functionality and CSS for design.
Challenges we ran into
It was difficult to publish the web page online on a domain. Domains can be expensive and cost money to buy so it was difficult to find ways to publish our website online.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of the games we have created, as beginner hackers it was a new language we had to learn and coding three games was difficult but we are extremely proud of the game we were able to create.
What we learned
In this hackathon we learned how to work as a team in a coding environment and learned how to code in JS and HTML to make websites and games.
What's next for Rain.io - Online Retro Multiplayer Platform
The next step for Rain is including a chat room or a party room where members playing the game can text and talk. Also, adding more games to our library while making them even more complex.
