Inspiration
Restaurant aiders, automating and aiding waiters and customers choose their food items and do their job.
What it does
It will help the customer and waiters have a better experience inside a restaurant. It enables a customer to open up a map, request help from a waiter and shorten the menu list based on restrictions. Waiters can see tables and check the inventory.
How I built it
We coded everything in repl.it and created a Data Base server cloud at mongoDB.
Challenges I ran into
Linking the Front End and the Back End together with JQuery, and linking the back end with the data base actually accessing the data base.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Finishing the data base, making it functional and having the back end being able to connect with the data base. Having a website that is navigable by the user, clicking a bunch of buttons and having icons that match with the required tasks.
What I learned
Increased my knowledge with logic gates, and learned the three different layers inside an application.
What's next for RAID (Restaurant Aid)
Next is a v2 that will go ahead and do more stuff like compiling up the bill cost, actually have direct communiation between the multiple customers at a table... etc.
