Rafiki - Optimized tax agent for creators

Taxes can be a pain and stressful for influencers. I created a tool that makes tax season easier for them. They can quickly gather actionable insights on income and tax liability.

Inspiration

I saw that content creators were struggling with keeping track of their taxes and managing them, so i decided to build something that helps with that.

What it does

It dynamically tracks income, expenses (deductions) and tax liability for content creators and allows for predictive, descriptive and diagnostic insights based on certain metrics and scenarios (filing status, deductions, etc.).

How we built it

I mainly used Tableau Next and the Data Cloud for data handling/cleanup, UI, creating, data modeling. I also used Chat GPT as well for miscellaneous tasks.

Challenges we ran into

Figuring out how to implement the progressive tax bracket system into Tableau Next and making sure the scenario analysis worked out properly with the calculations on the backend.
