Inspiration
We wanted to explore how artificial intelligence can support medical imaging workflows and help organize imaging studies, AI predictions, and reports in one place.
What it does
Radiant AI is an AI-powered medical imaging assistant currently under development. The prototype includes a dashboard for viewing imaging studies, a Report Copilot & Diff section, Model Evaluation, and Cohort Archive. The goal is to bring medical imaging information and AI-assisted analysis into a unified interface.
How we built it
We are developing a web application with a frontend dashboard and a backend API. The frontend provides the user interface, while the backend manages study information and provides data through API endpoints. We have also worked on deploying the application online.
Challenges we faced
Some of our main challenges include connecting the frontend with the backend, handling medical image URLs, deploying the application, and ensuring that the different features work correctly together.
What we learned
We gained practical experience in full-stack development, API integration, deployment, and integrating AI-related features into a web application. We also learned that connecting individual components into a complete, reliable workflow requires careful testing.
Current status and future plans
Radiant AI is currently a work in progress, with approximately half of the planned functionality completed. Our next steps are to fix image-loading issues, complete the remaining features, improve the integration between modules, and test the entire workflow before considering it ready for practical use.
Radiant AI is a prototype intended for development and demonstration, not a validated clinical diagnostic system.
