Background: The project was changed three times during MakeBU. First it was a Tinder clone (see flowchart), with Google Search history results instead of selfies; next it was an navigation aid to help the blind locate fire escapes; and then it became a social network hub.

Finally it settled on its current idea: a web app to help vegans, the gluten-free, and others find savy restaurants with palatable dishes they're allowed to eat. Basically, you'd tell the app you're vegetarian and it would only show vegan dishes.

Why: I've been vegetarian for like ever. And unless I do the research ahead of time

Status: While my machine was down for most of the night because of a corrupted hard drive I spent my time talking to others, scheming world domination, and eventually transcribing the Otto's Pizza menu into a big ol' JSON file. Lots of work to be done! I spent the remaining hour reading up on what exits for web frameworks, and I think I'm going to implement this in Node.js with Meteor and MongoDB.

I predict that the most difficult part will be obtaining dish ingredient info from restaurant owners and chefs. It's of uptmost importance that I get accurate info and tis can only acquired through data submission by the people who make the food.
