Inspiration

As all of our members are also immigrant, we have faced many challenges. We had language barriers, we missed opportunities that Canada gives for newcomers, etc. We didn't want people like us miss those opportunities and also can have a guide to how to fill the government forms.

What it does

Web app provides users to translate government forms into their languages and also extra explanations for some parts might be hard to understand how to fill it.

How we built it

We used HTML, JavaScript, Python, FastAPI, gitHub

Challenges we ran into

We changed our ideas a lot. We didn't know how to use github and also frontend parts and the biggest challenge was to learn them from the beginning. Another challenge was understanding each other. Even though we had some understanding problems, in the end, we patiently listened each other and worked together very well until the end.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

As we mentioned above, we are proud of we are able to use github well and we learned many things about frontend. We are also proud of our friendship.

how to work with HTML, JavaScript and also better use of Ai.

What's next for Racoon

We added only 1 file into our web app and worked on it. Next, we can add more government forms and also immigrant services. Also, we had 5 different languages. We will add more languages for those of people who are also immigrant and they challenge with the language in here.
